Squid is a news app that will allow you to curate your own feed, to read only about the topics that interest you the most. Only want to receive information about movies and video games? So be it. You don't have to be reading headlines about issues that you either dislike or simply don't find interesting.

The first thing you will be able to do when you launch Squid is choose your preferred country. By doing so, the news you will receive will be focused on content from that country and will usually be in your language. However, you can also choose to receive international information. With this option, you may see headlines and news from sources anywhere in the world, although most of the content will be in English.

After choosing the country, the next step to customize your feed is to choose your preferred topics. At your disposal you will find a list with more than twenty different topics, from which you can filter. Only want to see news on soccer? Just check the box and uncheck the rest. That's it. If, on the other hand, you want to receive news on all kinds of topics, simply check all the boxes.

Once you have completed these first two steps, you will be able to start enjoying your fully customized feed. On the Home page you will find a complete list of news, arranged in chronological order. By clicking on any of them you will be able to access all the content, which, although it will be loaded on its official website, will be displayed directly in the app. In addition, you will have two viewing options: Web Mode and Reading Mode.

If after using Squid for a while you feel that your feed is not to your liking, you can always take a look at the Categories tab. From here you can add and remove as many tags as you want, to filter the feed even better. You will even be able to veto some sources, if for any reason you do not want to read the content from a particular source.

Download Squid and enjoy a constant stream of personalized news. The app also has a simple and elegant design, and is much lighter than other similar news apps.
